The city block that we all know and (proboble live on) is a most likely a very boring little patch of land with a couple tiny buildings on it. In Simcity, the city block is always a very boring little patch of land with a couple tiny buildings on it. The difference is that in Simcity, you can change them. This guide is simply a collection of city blocks.
Residential, Indistrial, Commercial, Road, Trees, Water
The Basic Block
In this one, all squares are
accessable by at least 2 roads, making this a very fastly occupied one, though
it is sometimes limited in terms of advanced devolopment due to the land
value drop from the industrial zoning.
This form will often work well.
Alternate this with it's commercial and industrial counterparts and
some 9 acre buildings may develop.
The Majorly Squished Block
This will populate slower,
but it is very efficient with space, and 4 acre buildings will carpet it,
giving it very high pupulation density.
The Rich Peole's Block
This one has land value to the
sky with the two parks. 9-acre buildings are virtualy guaraunteed.
Make sure to provide industrial zoning at a safe distance.
The Venetian Block
Water is used instead of parks
here. 9-acre buildings will come eventually. The blank space
can be filled with water or a subway station.
The Industrial Block
This should be used a safe distance
from any expensive property, but it is required if "The Rich People's Block"
or "The Venetian Block" is used.
Block

%Used
|
Population
|
Basic | 73 | 15 per acre |
Squished | 79 | 15 per acre |
Rich People | 37 | 16 per acre |
Venetian | 56 | 20 per acre |
Industrial | 73 | 29 per acre |
Given this evidence, a combination of the Venetian block and the Industrial block would work best.
